Starter Drives
Starter free-spinning and abnormal noise during vehicle startup are mostly caused by failed overrunning clutches. Designed for torque transmission of starters, this starter drive meshes steadily with the flywheel to transfer power at startup. After engine ignition, it releases meshing quickly and blocks reverse torque impact from the flywheel, protecting the starter motor and serving as a replacement part to fix slipping starting issues.
- Internal Model No: T8314A
- Material: 20CrMnTi
- Feature: Copper bushing fitted in inner bore with tuned fit clearance, low rotating resistance at low temperature for smoother power transfer during cold start
- Application: Automotive starter motors
The starter drive is the core transmission component for unidirectional power transfer in the starting system. At the moment of ignition startup, the gear extends and meshes with the flywheel ring gear, transmitting power from the starter motor to the crankshaft and driving the engine.
