Starter Drives
This starter intermediate drive shaft assembly is a transitional transmission component for torque transfer and buffering inside the starter. Working with multiple precision‑machined splines and gears, it delivers power smoothly from the motor to the drive gear.
- Internal Model No: T83413
- Material: 20CrMnTi
- Feature: Precision‑ground & hardened working journals, improved wear resistance, less scratch and play
- Application: Automotive starter motors
Symptoms like weak cranking, intermittent slipping or periodic “clunking” noise are often misdiagnosed as a faulty motor. In many cases, the real cause lies in the intermediate shaft: repeated torsional load and metal fatigue can round off splines, scratch journals and create excessive clearance.
